Corporate Social Responsibility in action - a charity-based teambuild
A great deal could be said about these two days. We took a group of engineers from Nestle's Product Technology Centre to Horticap (a Harrogate-based charity for people with learning difficulties) and challenged them to work with the students there to develop the wildlife area as a visitor attraction and environmental project. They did so much more than that.
Rather than read about it, be inspired by this short (5 minute) video of the two days.
How great would your team feel after completing a project as worthwhile as this?

The purpose of this teambuild was twofold: to develop team spirit, and to understand what critical factors are needed for this group to work brilliantly together. To do this, we ran the project as follows:
Two months before the actual project, it was lauched to the team. A private online micro-site was created so that they could share ideas and resources, plan what they wanted to do, source materials and communicate easily with us and each other.
Site visits were arranged to scope out the necessary work and identify further tools, equipment, and expertise that would be required.
Deadlines were put in place for the group to submit their plans for evaluation.
Follow-up sessions were planned to ensure that the group could identify the factors that helped them work so well together, and then translate those back into their day-to-day working environment.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch to find out more - this is a brilliant way of delivering engagement in the community, fantastic team spirit, and genuine learning points to take back to work.
